2mo eating problems

Any advise would be appreciated as me n hubby r stumped.
My little man was very happy eating 5oz every 4ish hours, then he seemed to want more n cry for more after finishing a bottle (at 6 week) so we uped it to 6oz. Worse mistake. He ate it,but started being more Sicky, n it threw him off for his other feeds, only having 3\4\5 oz at the next feeds or going 5\6 hours but screaming cos he's starving,so tried 5oz again but 3.5 hours, but that didn't work either. Tried him on hungry milk 5oz every 4 n it worked for 2days then back to being hungry but 6oz is too much liquid, n if we feed him at diff times it throws his feeds off. I really do not know what to do for the best. Help?? Xx

MrsMuskett, if only babies could tell us in words what they wanted ....:) :(

The only way they have of telling us is by their behaviour....and maybe your baby would like smaller feeds at closer intervals. Feeding at different times is ok - it doesn't matter if the gaps between feeds are uneven.

What do you think?

Sorry i prob haven't explained myself very well. We tried that n he just cry's cos he wants more on little n often,n he has always gone 4 hours himself from birth. I'm lucky though as he sleeps from 11 til 5\6am, even tried waking him after 4 in case that was the problem, but no. Xx

Sorry, still not sure what the issue is!

What is wrong with feeding him little and often? He is going a long time at night - you'd expect a baby like this to feed little and often in the day :)

If I feed him little n often, which I have tried,he just has the odd oz here n there,no structure, hard to keep track of what hes had, plus he's got mild reflux,so have to feed sitting up n keep him sitting up for half hr after a feed,by the time he's winded n had a play for 5mins, it starts all over again! Hes nthen not getting a nap n I have no time to do anything. Its frustrating when he was in a good pattern before.

He may not need sitting up for that long after an ounce or two. Honestly, going with his flow might be easier for you.
