I have two questions please for anyone who can guide me.
A. Can I stop bf altogether in about a month ie gradually shutting off a feed at a time? Or is that too little time ie from an impacted milk duct / mastitis perspective?
B. has anyone any experience with doing only one feed per day for any length of time? Ice ideally I would have wanted to give my dd one bf feed at night but wondering if that will dry up supply or be too painful? (I will be working full time Nd won't be able to express to relieve pressure).
Thanks much!!

I did one feed a day (at bedtime) from when Ds was about 11months until he was 18 months, worked absolutely fine. I'm not sure I had that much milk by the end but he always seemed happy enough anyway.

Thanks! How long did it take you to come down to one feed please?

I think within a month; if I remember correctly I was only doing four feeds a day anyway and I dropped one a week. I guess it depends how old your baby is?

Thanks. I need to shut down bf by the time dd is 7 months as I have to get back to work. I will move her to ff meanwhile. I'll start phasing out by 6 months age and will try to see if I can keep the night feed going for a few months hence
