Hi all, i wondered if anyone could help me. Ds 6 months is ebf, i am going back to work soon and need to give a bottle while i am at work but baby refuses to feed from one. I have tried many different teats / bottles, breast milk and formula, have been trying for a month and so far the most he has fed is half an ounce from the bottle.
Ds feeds fine from breast and i will continue to ebf as only working 3 mornings a week but really don't know what to do with regards to feeding while i am at work. Any suggestions gratefully received.

My eldest was a bottle refuser. In the end we went cold turkey, he was about 6 months and had started weaning so was on 3 small meals a day & drinking water. He refused all milk for about 12 hours and then finally caved when my husband tried him with a bottle of formula at bedtime. Our next problem was getting him to give up the bottle when he got older Confused !! He is still a stubborn little bugger angel now though.

We found a MAM bottle was the best.( & an iron will!)

Good luck.

I managed to get him to take an ounce and a half today, was the first time he's actually properly sucked the bottle rather than chewing it or little sucks. He'd had breakfast but he was due his next feed but persisted with the bottle. I felt so guilty trying to make him have the bottle when he just wanted to snuggle and have his bm and a nap.
But at least he seems to be getting the idea now :)
