Dream feeding small baby

Hi,

My LO is 9 weeks old & I am interested in trying dream feeding to get him to sleep through. He feeds roughly every 3-4 hours in the day & then at night He feeds between 8-10, then around 1/2 then between 5-7. He is a tiny baby and weighs around 9lb. We do combined feeding of breast & bottle.

Can I introduce a dream feed if he is so small - will he take if?
He is having his injections in the next few days, should I wait till a couple of days later to try as he might be cranky post jabs?
Anyone got any top tips to share?
Thanks

I would wait for a week or so after his Jabs just incase they do affect him.

When could you introduce a dream feed as your ds seems to be sleeping well. The reason I ask is because I introduced a dream feed around the same time, but that was at 11pm as my dc all feed at around 7pm and then distrub around that time and 3am then 7am. It just meant they slept from 7pm until 3am.

My aim for dream feeding is to get him to sleep through the night. Ideally 11-7.

He is very young to be sleeping through tbh so you might be a bit optimistic!

As previous poster said he is already sleeping pretty well. :)

He's very young and very small to sleep through and the pattern you describe sounds pretty good to me. I doubt a dream feed would do any harm but do manage your expectations - at 9lb his tummy is still very tiny and he's doing really well.
