Feeling a bit sad but he is 2y2m so we had a good run. Probably noone remembers but I had such an awful time getting started with a badly snipped tt that took a long time to get sorted. But thanks to the support on here we battled on and I'm so glad we did. It has been the most amazing party of our relationship. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this board, and to anyone suffering, it is worth carrying on if you can manage it.

As an aside, he's not fed for over a week, when will my boobs stop producing milk, is he likely to ask again at some point, and if so what do I do?

Just wanted to congratulate you on going for so long! My DS is almost 11 weeks and we're struggling with some pain during feeding and vasospasms in between though it is improving, he's also had TT issues so it's good to hear from someone who managed for so long Grin

Congratulations! I know how you feel as I think my dd had her last feed yesterday morning. She was more than happy with a cup of cows milk this morning so think that might be it for us after 13 months. Feel sad but also pleased that she has decided to stop rather than me pushing her. Wish I had known that yesterday was going to be the last day though :(

Lilac it took us about 4 months before we were sorted bar the occasional block etc but was so worth it. Hope things continue to improve for you.

Oh I so know how you feel and my 'baby' is now 16 and just gone out to a New Year party!!! I had a very very rough time at the beginning.(no 3 so knew what I was doing?) I admit I was obsessed with feeding him myself,(last baby etc) Anyway... I fed him till he was 2yrs 10 months and totally loved every second of just us...2 other kids and was a childminder so not much time with just him. I was dreading the 'last feed'. But it was so gradual that I didn't even notice. Busy at Christmas and going to other people after preschool etc that one day I realized I hadn't fed for a while so when he asked I just said you don't have booby anymore...that was that!! I still remember that day but it was also lovely...I would have been a wet nurse 100 years ago!!!!

Oh and by the way, when he was 'chatted up' by a 20year old who thought he was 21(!) I had to fight of the urge to shout 'I only stopped breast feeding him 13years ago!!! I didn't!!!

Thanks all. It feels so odd that he's just stopped asking, but I am grateful we managed for so long.

Lilac, well done for persevering, I hope it gets better for you soon. I very much sympathise, I remember how awful it was, you don't forget that kind of pain! For me it was so worth carrying on though, I hope you find the best thing for you tooSmile

Marylou, he'll be our last too, maybe that's why I battled on like you did and am feeling slightly bereft nowGrin can't even imagine my boys growing up though!!
