Breast pump / bottle compatability

Hello,

My first is due beginning of April and we're just beginning to get some bits together.

We've very kindly been given a Tommy Tippee steriliser as a gift and, although I want to breast feed I am also keen on expressing once the time is right. I've looked at the Tommy Tippee electric breast pump but it has fairly terrible reviews and I'd rather buy the Avent or Medina, but am wondering about bottle compatibility with the steriliser. Are all the variously branded bottles standard or not?

Thank you!

I have a tommee tippee steriliser and have used it to sterilise medela, TT and now NUK bottles.

I pump into the medela bottle and decant it into the sterilised bottle of choice. The most important thing is to get a decent pump- I found the medela swing fab

Good luck!

Yep just decant into bottles and wash pump up.

If you haven't decided on a breast pump yet, my top recommendation is the Ardo Calypso. It's waaaaay better than the cheaper Medelas (I've heard it compared to hospital grade pumps) for a similar price. The only slightly annoying thing is that you only get one bottle with it that fits the pump, but you can order more and/or always just decant it into something else.
