Hi, my 2 month old dd has started really fussing when fed. She's ff, aptimel.

Some feeds she will be absolutely fine, espessially night feeds.

Other times she will scream and scream and thrash about kicking and hitting me, herself and the bottle.

I wind her throughout the feed and occasionally it helps but not often.
We use anti colic tommee tippee bottles and they really helped for a while.

Eventually after thrashing around she will calm down and drink her bottle.

My hv said they only get concerned when babies arnt gaining weight which isn't an issue with my dd so she's not concerned. She has a little bit of spit up sometimes but not very often.

Any advice??

Has she ever been checked for tongue tie?

No I don't think she has but reading that link it certainly could be a possibility!! She always dribbles milk out of the corners of her mouth when feeding.
May well explain why we had such problems bf too!
Ill ask the hv to check her.

Thankyou!

You could ask the HV but tt is notoriously easy to miss and unless your HV has had training in spotting tt, she is very likely to miss it. Assuming your dd has it of course.

Could she be tired? My dd could never latch if tired and would thrash and scream. I put her on shoulder and she would inevitably drop off to sleep.
