DS has had oral thrush for 9 weeks of his 11 weeks here :( Nystatin and daktarin useless & GP said stop using now as ineffective. I am on second course of Fluconizole, probiotics and yeast free diet. Last attempt at remedy if we transfer again (very likely given his tongue is still riddled with it) is to use grapefruit seed extract as advised online by other mothers.
I have purchased today but has no directions for babies - wiki search mentions using distilled or filtered water with the drops for baby but presumably I need to used boiled water? Also says apply every hour (!) which will be tricky when he is asleep...
I will use the tincture on my nipples between feeds. I assume this is safe when taking Fluconizole.
