Supply during and after illness

Hi
I've just come out of hospital after suffering a d & v illness that left me dehydrated so I had to put on a drip. I was separated from my 6 month old overnight but she is mixed fed and can take bottles of formula. When I got home, I managed to feed her and fed her this morning but I've still got d and feel so weak. I can't eat properly yet and I'm just about managing to drink but I'm worried about my supply. I don't even have the energy to feed her and feel so guilty. Will I be able to build my supply back up when I'm better?

Yes, you will, BUnnychan - feed as often as you can manage and when you are recovered feed even more :) It will return. Short term illness as weakening as yours was does have a temp effect on milk supply but it comes back :)

Hope you feel better soon.
