Should I be worried?

Ds 2 is 15 weeks and ebf. He has been poorly for the last 3 weeks with bronchiolitis , the drs reckon he's had it twice. But he hasn't been in hospital or anything.

Got him weighed today and he is 17lb 1, he has dropped from 98th to 91st centile.

This is the first time I feel like I have 'failed' at the Hv clinic as ds 1 always followed the 91st line, and I thought I was doing well with ds2 but obvs he has been poorly.

Should I be worried about this drop. He gets weighed again in 3 weeks time - what will happen then if he's still on 91st?

Try not to worry Lou, he's been a poorly boy so it is only natural if he loses a bit. 91st is still a great healthy weight to be tracking, you've absolutely not failed even if he stays there. Try and relax and as long as he's getting better then all will be well!

No, that's fine - it's such a small deviation from his
Iine and as you say he's been ill, so it's to be expected.
I really wouldn't worry. Smile

Never look at one weight measurement. You have to look at a trend, if there is one. One measurement means NOTHING. Sorry for shouting Smile

Movement within the centiles is fine and normal as long as the general trend pretty much sticks within two centiles then all is considered normal without taking into account any illnesses or feeding/digestive issues which might impact steady weight gain.

You are doing brilliantly, perfect in fact. Keep feeding that baby just as you are.
