My son is not the best at drinking from breast always. Sometimes he is fine and a large part is my fast let down. I find he feeds better after I pump...and I'm trying to get him on bottles...which he also is not the best feeder! Anyway, for now I'm doing night feeds breastfeeding bc my breasts get too full and I'm too tired to pump and bottle feed at night. My main problem is at night he wakes up hungry and takes a few sucks for let's say a minute or two and then fast asleep! It's not say to get a full feed and th an hur later he ales crying for more! How do you get a full feed in one go late at night?mhow long does it take you?

hi mama, my 10wo dd feeds for about 8-10 mins in the middle of the night, and that normally lasts her about 3 hours. I have fast let down too so I don't know if this might be quite quick?
if she nods off after 3 mins I'll poke her cheek, rub her head, blow on her or squeeze her ear lobe. If they don't work I'll give her a vigorous burp, or even get dp to change her nappy- I'm very keen on feeding her up to the brim so I can get some sleep.

When he starts to fall asleep change breasts and the new fast letdown will wake him up.

Also, if you cosleep he can just help himself and you don't need to be awake at all.

Yes, we co sleep after late feed. He sleeps w face next to breast. But I wake when he wants more milk an hour later! He just had a goof feed now so cross fingers he sleeps two more hours!
