Baby will not take bottle from Dad - please help

I really hope someone can help, our 8 month old is refusing the bottle from my husband for her bedtime feed.

She is breast fed but we have always given her a bottle before bed to help her sleep. She is not a fan of sleeping and she is a very hungry baby, so the nurses at hospital suggested a bedtime bottle to us while I was poorly. Dad has always done the bath before bed and I have always then done the bottle. However I am now starting to go back to work and when he tried feeding her the other night while I was at work she would not play ball. She cries, goes bright red and stiff. She works herself up so much. He has tried again this week but has the same outcome. I have tried being in the room but does not help.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

How about skipping the bedtime bottle and doing a bottle dream feed at about 11 pm?

Hi, thanks for coming back to me but I work in hospitality and shifts do not always finish until early hours, plus I am sometimes gone from 4pm and all day on weekends :( We are trying again tonight - keep your fingers crossed for us. :)

our ds did this with me. Found that having mum anywhere near made him want the bottle from her. She baths him and I take him out of bath and put him to bed with bottle,.

as with most things baby, they kick off at first but get used it after a couple of days.
