Has anyone gone to Dr Levinkind for a lip and tounge tie procedure and how was your experience and outcome?

Yes. Dd2 had a ult and ptt and had this revised about 10 weeks ago when she was 6 weeks. We had a consultation where this diagnosis was confirmed, then he took us through a video of post-revision stretching exercises, then took dd away for the procedure. She was away for less than 5 mins (screamed a lot so would advise stepping outside as it's quite distressing), and came back ready to latch on. The difference in my comfort was immediate - she was able to use her tongue whereas previously she was just chomping on my breast. (In contrast, Dd1 had her anterior tt snipped on the NHS and the difference it made to me wasn't that great tbh). We continued the stretching exercises for almost 3 weeks and feeding has been great ever since.

Well worth £400 IMHO. His manner is friendly and he's happy to answer questions though I felt slightly rushed as his next patient had arrived and was in the waiting room with us. He's also available by email for follow-up questions.

Thanks for the post, opened it as we were in the car going to see Dr L. this morning. Had our twin girls upper and lower ties done, BF is easier and far less painful. Thought Dr L. was really good, great bedside manner, well worth the trip and money.

I know this thread is old but for what it's worth I'd say reconsider if u r about to go there ! My experience wasn't great, he had me waiting for a month saying my baby should do lots of cranial osteopathy before going to him and that he seems a difficult case and that he possibly has a neurological problem as his sucking wasn't great (Hello!!! He has a tongue tie wise guy which at that point was cut twice already!!!). Every time I went to c him he brought me to tears!!!
Anyway he revised it and it seems he left quite a bit out as he said he didn't feel confident removing the scar tissue? Why didn't he tell me before so that I go somewhere else and not pay all this money??

Anyway went yesterday to lovely Helen Caulfield who funny enough removed what was left which she said wasn't even scar tissue, it's just that no one ever went that deep!
She was lovely btw contrary to him who shouted at me a few times!Angry (I did give it back once and loved it!)
Steer clear!
