My ds is absolutely not interested in bfeeding any more, and every time I offer he just messes about and/or bites me! So I haven't offered as a result, and he hasn't fed for 3 days ish now. I really wanted to feed him up until 2yrs, but he is just not bothered any more so it seems like it isn't up to me. He eats really well, and drinks milk out of a cup, as well as drinking water. I guess this means he doesn't "need" breastmilk any more. It's definitely not anything like teething pain putting him off, as he hasn't had any other signs of pain etc.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I just feel a little like I was not ready to stop, and I wasn't expecting to be in this position!

Sounds just like my dd2. She self weaned at approx 25 months.

Asked for "that koooop" that dd1 (was water by then) and ds (milk) got on waking.

I was sad as I knew she was my last baby. But she patted my chest and said "no mo mummy mok cup now" so it was 100% her decision!!

Giving up bf was harder than deciding there would be no more children!! I loved it!
