Green poo....

I'm breast feeding my second dc after mix feeding first dc - so don't feel an expert.

I was told to top up feeds with expressed milk after some weight loss on hospital. Dc now 3 weeks old, very gassy (burps after every pause in feeding) and for the last few days at least one nappy has been a fairly bright green colour. She sleeps well a d seems to be gaining weight ok.

I am trying not to time feeds and dc only feeds on one side per feed so not sure if its a fore/hind milk thing, a stomach upset or a cold.

Should I take dc to the dr??
Advice gratefully received...

Could well be too much foremilk. If you have an oversupply he might be get ton too much foremilk even if feeding on just one side. That can also make them quite windy.
Your milk should adjust itself, but you can help and speed it up by feeding leaning backwards so that the baby has to work for the milk (rather than it just flowing into their mouth!). Definately don't express off the foremilk as your body won't adjust the supply.

Having said that, it could also be a tummy bug, so maybe get advice if it persists.
