Distressed 6 mo LO moaning at breast

My LO has started moaning whilst feeding and getting more and more distressed but he stays latched on and is swallowing but still moaning. He has been doing this for 3 days and has been vomiting a lot following feeds. GP can't find anything wrong. His first 2 teeth poked through about 2 weeks ago but he hasn't moaned like this before 3 days ago so I'm not sure it is linked. He is currently inconsolably crying. Feeding would usually settle him no matter what but now even that isn't working.
Has this happened to your LO? What could be the problem? I'm really worried now he won't settle Sad

Could he be cutting another tooth? Dd used to either love breast or reject it when teething. We used teething powders like nelsons; calmed her instantly.

Hope he stopped crying and settled eventually

I'm not sure if he is getting another tooth, there is I sign of one near the surface and he didn't do the moaning for the other teeth. DP eventually got him to settle after an hour of screaming and swaying in a dark room and an emergency dose of calpol.

The thing with teeth, the cut through is the end, the tooth is making it's way down the gum, moving and inflaming the gums underneath. Tooth ache is generally agony and LO's go through it when they can't tell you!

DD was a nightmare with her teeth from 11 weeks. She didn't generally cry unless she was in pain.

If calpol helped him, it probably was because of pain that he was crying.

Hope you have a better idea.

Yeah you are probably right, seeing as the calpol seemed to help, poor little bugger Wink
I'll get some teething powders today to help with the pain. He is feeding fine today without the moaning so far!
