When to give ranitidine

My 12 week old DS is suspected to have reflux, gaviscon did nothing but give him constipation so we've been given ranitidine. The pharmacy label just says three times a day, does anyone know whether it's best to give before a feed, after or in between?

TIA

I don't think it matters. I give dd hers when I remember Blush. It is 3 times a day, so I try and do after meals.

Hi Gerty1002. Ranitidine works best given a half hour pre feeds. 8 hourly intervals is what is usually prescribed, but you can work this out around/pre feed times.I hope DS feels the benefit soon.Reflux can be a challenge but ranitidine will help with any associated discomfort.
