8 week old suddenly refusing bottle

Hi, I don't know how normal this is so very grateful for some advice.
My 8 week old is EBF, and I've been pumping too to get some stocks in the freezer and so DP can give a bottle and enable me to go out occasionally, also so we can go out together and my boobs can have some time off...I'm happy to feed in public but for some reason I am not very good at it outside the house! She is a heavy little thing (15lbs now) and without my familiar cushions I struggle to get the position right.
Anyway point is she was fairly happy to take a bottle about 2-3 weeks ago, but has gone right off the idea! Admittedly she didn't have many bottles back then, but when we try now it's definitely worse.
I'm using tommee tippee bottles, was on teat 1 but have just bought teat 2 in the hope that would help, no luck. A few days ago I did poke lots of extra holes in a teat 1 with a needle and she took that. I think I have a fast let down and lots of milk so could even teat 2 be too much work for her?
I'm happy to try other bottles If people think that'll work, or should I keep on with my homemade teat?? I'd really appreciate some advice xx

Just to add I think she might be having a growth spurt as she's suddenly eating all the time and sleeping the rest of the time! Only for last couple of days. So might bottle fussiness pass once the spurt is over?

The same thing happened to us at around the same time. When my baby was younger I would express so that my husband could give her the odd bottle during the night to help out, and also out in public; I wasn't confident feeding in public, and like you, I'm used to feeding on cushions in the house which makes it much easier. She started to fuss over the bottle and eventually refused it altogether. We tried a couple of types of bottle (Tommee Tippee and Medela, as recommended by the midwife). When we asked the HV for advice she told us that babies often develop a preference at that age, so we decided to stop trying to give bottles. She was sleeping through by that point which helped, and it forced me to feed in public (which does get easier). I'm still ebf now at 6 months.

hi hedge, interesting that you had the same at this age. I wonder why? I thought we'd been so clever getting bf good then introducing a bottle around 5 weeks. I guess it's taught me not to get too smug and comfortable!
I really do want to be able to leave LO for an evening, and she can only manage to sleep for 4 hours max. As I live in London this isn't enough time to have a dinner out with friends who live in another part of London!
I'm keen to make this work, has anyone else overcome the 8 week wobble?!
