ds is 1 in two weeks
he had reflux/dairy intolerance and was on omeprazole and cows milk protein free formula.
We have successfully stopped the omeprazole at around 9.5m but still on formula.
he has been hard wrk where food is concerned - won't eat anything dry/that he has to chew at home but will eat some of at nursery. It took him forever and a day to get the hang of purees and was really slow to get going with food - he was far more interested in getting n the move.

Anyway - HV keeps saying about weaning him off bottles at 1y but I really do not see how this is going to happen. He won't take any quantity of milk from anything other than a bottle.
He still wakes in the night for a feed and sometimes two - each time he will take a full 7oz feed at each. I have tried soothing him but nothing works until he gets milk and then goes straight back down.

  1. whats my best way of reducing his milk intake? - he's still on 4x7oz bottles.
  2. should i be worried about not being anywhere near moving on from bottles?

I'm not too bothered about the 'night' feeds, II figure he'll grow out of them in his own time - it's the whole not reducing overall intake and the hv moaning about bottles that i'm bothered about.

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

Reduce times you see HV or make noncommittal hmmhmm noises while nodding

Revisit the issue in 6 months as well

I would not be bovvered about bottles in the daytime. Bottles at night obvs have implications for dental health, though.
