Hoping some one could give a clueless mum some advice! We are currently using the innosense bottles (mothercare) with our 4 week old DD. In the last 48 hours she has been fussy at feeding time, last nigh was very windy and gassy - and keeps falling asleep during feeds...do I teats? Normal? Keep in going? Desperate help needed! Thank you!!

Has anything else changed? We're you mixed feeding before, has the amount of food she taking changed etc

I don't know the bottle type but mine recommend changing teat size at 3 month's - we've found this has helped with his wind and falling asleep - maybe yours changes sooner.

When my baby started doing this i changed to vari flow teats but he is 9 weeks and i changed this week. I put 2ml of gripe water in every feed also which makes a massive difference to wind. I do know people who have been advised to changed teats from the MW and HV for the reasons you have said plus vari flow is fine from birth and allows the baby to drink as fast or slow as they like. It's taken our feeds from half an hour to 10 minutes with the gripe water allowing a burp in the middle!

My DD was kind of the same, fussy at feeding time, wouldn't finish bottle but would still seem hungry. MW suggested changing teats - the change in her was instant!! And btw she was only 3 weeks old at the time. All babies are different!
