Breast pain

Hi,

I've currently got a very painful left breast. I'm still producing milk but not as much as usual. I can usually express 4oz but I barely got an ounce.
It's not hard but very tender,especially when touched.

Any advice greatly appreciated

Blocked ducts and or mastitis:( ouch but hopefully sortable now! Feed, express and feed then express whilst feeding in the bath whatever helps. Check for blebs or milk spots around nipple and squeeze any out.

If symptoms get worse get gp apt tomorrow, if lumps become obvious in breast get ultrasound from breast clinic.

If happy to take supplements try lecithin, some mastitis sufferers reckon it helps.

Thank you. I've been trying to massage the bits that feel lumpy whilst expressing. So painful though :(

It is, horrible....ibruprofen is your friend. Massage is good but don't do it too hard, gentle and often is best.
