Biting while breast feeding

My 9mth old has had teeth for several months and its mostly been fine. For the last few days though she's been biting me every time I feed her (only morning and evening). The first time was when she sneezed and bit me as a sort of reflex. Now she's properly clamping down and I'm having to put my finger in her mouth to release her which makes her annoyed. I really wanted to feed her to 1yr but I'm not sure if I can if this keeps happening... Any advice? I'm just a bit surprised that this is so long after she got her first 4 teeth..

Hi, I had this with DD but usually only when she fell asleep (more like the reflex as you say). I know you can get rubber nipple shields and a friend used them successfully (medela I think hers were) so perhaps that could work? Good luck. I managed 11 months with a huge very hungry baby and it was draining but great to look back on. Remember anything is better than nothing and you have done amazingly already!
