Was a bit dubious about it but decided to try some after a lemsip episode dropped my supply a bit. First impressions were it's expensive and it stinks.

Been taking 2x2 a day for a few days and a few things have happened that have made me think it's had an effect. My boobs feel much more full and have even had a few night leaks (not really a leaker?) today I picked my boob up to offer to baby and squirted him over his head Shock and when he'd finished - left it half an hour and pumped and got almost 4oz easily from same boob he'd fed from.

Has anyone else thought it makes a difference?

Made a difference to me but know what you mean by the smell. You smell like a curry addict!

Really helped me the first three months and would use again.

Yea it was fantastic for me. Also homemade flapjacks with lots of dried fruits and treacle

I added some to a lactation cookie recipe so not sure if it was that or another ingredient but I noticed a difference. I read you're supposed to take it til your skin smells of it. Pleasant Hmm
I got mine from holland and Barrett for ~ £10.
does anyone know a cheaper (trustworthy) source?

I totally abandonded Fenugreek... Going to give it another shot after reading this.

Taking 2 three times a day. My DD only takes on sides so the other was pretty much drying up. Now with fenugreek, I express the sid she refuses and am storing it in freezer. Still not getting 4oz like you, but considering I was expressing close to nothing and now about 2oz, I'm happy with that.
Smell however, is a definite downside, but you get used to it...

The number of pills you should take depends on their strength and whether they contain just fenugreek seed or the more concentrated fenugreek extract.

Kellymom has good info on dosage kellymom.com/bf/can-i-breastfeed/herbs/fenugreek/. Unless your pills are super-concentrated, you're possibly below useful dosage.

As an example, the Holland & Barrett ones are 610mg of seed and I was taking 3 x 3 times daily. I noticed quite a jump in supply 24 hours later.
