hi my 7 wk old dd2 has reflux both silent and sometimes projectile vomiting. i have tried gaviscon and domperidone and zantac. but doesnt seem to make any difference.

i have decided to change her milk from sma gold to enfamil ar. has anyone used this? after reading the instructions it sounds like you have to boil the kettle and leave to go cold ( this could take hours) then add to sterilised bottles then add powder and shake.

i wondered if instead you could boil kettle and leave for 30-40 mins then add to sterilised bottles. then cool them in a sink of cold water. then when cool add the powder, shake bottle and put in the fridge?

any help please im desperate xxx

My dd2 had reflux and colic. I took her to an osteopath who cured and colic and reduced the reflux greatly. I know this isn't an answer to your question but it is worth a try. Good luck!

New guidance on making up formula says you can't put the bottle in the fridge in advance - every bottle has to be made up individually at the time of need, and the baby takes it when it has cooled down. It is a faff, but it is thought to be safer.

Maybe your HV could help?

i used to boil and cool the water, put in bottles, store in fridge- (use within 24 hrs)-, then bring up to room temp when needed, then add powder (scoops counted out in advanced and put in avent powder dispenser thingy- round with 3 sections). didnt use that brand though. check with hv though as your baby is v young
