Can you mix formula and breastmilk in same bottle?

As the title says really!

LO is now having about 8oz in a bottle but I can normally only express 3-5oz at a time and I only really want to pump once a day first thing in the morning. I never seem to get round to doing another session! So would it be ok to make a bottle half bm and half formula? OH gives her a bottle mid evening just to give me a bit of time off.

Yes, you can, but you may not need to. Babies drink more from a bottle than they do from the breast as it's easier to get out. Some mums worry that they are not expressing enough, when they are actually expressing as much as baby would usually get.

There's an article somewhere that explains it better. I'll see if I can find it.
