Cartons -v- powdered

Hi all, we have recently gone from the cartons to the powdered formula, purely as its working out SO expensive with the cartons.

My question is for those who've also switched have you noticed a difference when winding your LO?

With the cartons my LO would generally wind really well but with the powdered she hardly burps at all (although I have heard wind the other end a fair few times!).

Also we have just started to use the 'Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Perfect Prep' which gets your feed to the perfect temperature within 2 mins, meaning your LO doesn't have to wait ages! What we've noticed though is that there is a fair amount of froth that is produced which is from where you have to shake the bottle to ensure the powder mixes with the water. Could this be adding to her winding problems? Had any one else experienced this with the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Perfect Prep?

Thanks

I use both cartons and powder and do notice a lot more froth with the powder but it hasn't affected how easy DD is to wind.

Which bottles are you using? You can get ones with anti colic valves or tubes

I use tommy tippee ones that have valves in the teats

You could try these ones with a valve if you want to stick with tommee tippee: m.tesco.com/mt/www.tesco.com/direct/tommee-tippee-closer-to-nature-anti-colic-bottles-260ml-x2/207-2172.prd

or these Dr Browns ones which seem to be the best anti colic bottles: www.mothercare.com/Dr-Brown's-Natural-Flow-240ml-Bottle--4-Pack/264037,default,pd.html
