My DS is nearly 11 mths, was bf til 7mths then swapped last feed of day (7pm) to formula. He dropped bf night feeds of his own accord. I'm going back to work and want to stop bf so have stopped the afternoon feed, but he's not that interested in a formula feed, unless I leave it until practically dinner time. I'm sure he's nowhere near having the recommended amount of milk per day, with one BF, 1-3 oz afternoon, and 5 oz bedtime. Though he has a fair bit of cows milk and cheese. Does it matter as long as he has a good varied diet? Or is this 20 oz per day just another thing to make me worry about . Oh, and he seems to be growing fine, although he was 9th centile from 2-8mths, he was heading towards 25th at 10mth check.

Doesn't matter KJ.
Mine stopped b/feeding of own accord at 11 months and never had formula or milk, just youghurt and cheese.
They don't really need milk.

Thank you! very reassuring - he was a manic frequent feeder for 6 months, then just stopped being that bothered - I'm sure he got a years supply in the early days (and nights!).

He sounds like he is doing just fine.
