DS weighed today, not good, what now

I've been working on dropping back formula and upping breastfeeds for my 14 wo ds. My supply is slowly increasing helped by increased feeding, especially at night. We're giving less formula now but there are still times where he'll feed til my flow is way down and still be hungry and get frustrated. Then I top-up.
Problem is his weight gain has slowed way down. Clinic today and he's gained less than 100g in 3 weeks. Then want me to weigh his again next week.

So what should I do now? Increase formula to get his weight up but risk my supply or keep going how I have and risk his weight stalling even longer. Or drop more formula in hope my milk will catch up. He's gone from between 9th and 25th to 2nd and 9th centile.

Thanks for reading.

Oh that's a tricky one.
Can you express between feeds to help up your supply?
Are you taking any supplements? (Eg fenugreek)
Are you feeding at night too? Annoyingly this seems to be when your hormones stimulate an increased milk production.

Good luck with persevering.

Sunflower, what a dilemma....:(

Slowing of weight gain is normal and it may be totally ok in your case. You need to look at what he's doing on the chart. A drop through two centile spaces is considered normal, except for the babies at the bottom of the chart, when you really need to assess indivdually, so this may be what they are doing ie keeping a close eye on him, but not panicking.

What have you done to increase breastmilk? Feeding at least both sides each time, breast compression, increasing frequency, yes?

I do feel there's more pressure because he started out on the small side.
I'm doing both sides until he gets frustrated (and for a while after that too). Night feeds and cosleeping. Compressions. Fenugreek and fennel and lactation cookies. Domperidone.

I was expressing after each feed for a while, for stimulation - never got more than a few drops out at this point. I stopped as it was proving stressful, but could try again.

Not sure if I should wake him at night to fit in an extra feed? He often sleeps from 11 to 230, but then will feed more often til morning.

Thank you for the replies.
