My dd is 4.5 months and feeds very well with between 5 and 6 feeds per day (breastfed). She has a feed between 10 and 11pm and it's getting harder to wake her for it. In your experience is there a good time to drop this 'dream' feed or should i wait til i wean her?
TIA

Our DD is now 1yr old, we started solid food and bottle milk at 6 months old. She goes to sleep at 18h30pm and we have tried many times to spot the dream feed (usually between 10pm/10.30pm and she is fast asleep while drinking it), it just doesn't work for her and she wakes up at midgnight and 3am... so we have decided to carry on the dreamfeed, she then has a 12 to 13 hours sleep without disturbing her sleep or ours!!! My DH doesn't see her much during weekdays so he enjoys giving her that dreamfeed.. Many friends tell us to stop the dreamfeed but each to their own!!!!! SO see what is the best for your family, that is my recommendation...

warthog what time would her 1st am feed be?
if its close to 7 then i owuld continue feeding her at 11pm, just in case u drop it, she may wake earlier like 6 or 5.30 and thats hard to break.
my ds was 8mths when i stopped the 11pm feed, going well on his solids and sleeping well.

when my babies slept from 10:30pm (dream feed) till morning I started to feed them an hour earlier each week till they were going from 7:00pm till 7:00am...
at the end of the day its what ever works for you...
