Lump in breast

Hi, I've got a lump in my left breast this evening. It's hard and quite large but not painful or red.

I had mastitis about 10 days ago in the same breast which was accompanied by being bright red and flu like symptoms (argh it was horrible!!)

What do I do about the lump this evening to try to prevent it turning into mastitis?

Thanks. I really really would like to avoid getting it again. Urgh!

Does this sound like what you are experiencing?

Thanks, yes I think so. There's no pain though and no redness. This is how the mastitis started previously, although the flu symptoms kicked in pretty quickly and I don't think I've got those this time. I was just wondering how to prevent it getting worse.

I fed my LO earlier and then expressed - not much came out. I've done a bit of massaging & am currently sitting with a heat compress so it doesn't look like there's much more I can do.

Massage, hot compresses etc haven't helped, the lump hasn't gone away and is now painful. I think I might need to see someone - the Dr?

Will I be doing any harm by waiting until Monday or even Tuesday?

Is my GP the best person to see?

Thanks
