Breast to bottle

I'm currently switching over from breast to bottle feeding, so as to be ready for when I go back to work. My 7 month old now only has breast feed first thing in the morning and just before he goes to bed, with formula for his other milk feeds (also weaning). I'm now thinking of swapping the bedtime feed to formula, but am wondering whether my boobs will cope with a 24hr gap between feeds. Or is it best to cut out both remaining feeds in one hit? I had a few days of bad boob leakage at about 5pm while adjusting to cutting out the other feeds a couple of weeks back. What's anyone else's experience?

I found it best to cut out one at at time, personally, the leakage wasn't too bad.

Just a thought and discount it entirely if you wish, but could you still give the early and last feed for a week or two after you go back, as a comfort thing for him while he adjusts to you beinga way in the day?
