Is there anything? I'm allergic to my parents' dog and I'd like to be able to spend time at their house.

I've been taking piriton when pregnant. Last time I was bf though I couldn't get a doctor to give it me. Go figure. There's a definite grey area. I think that it's just meant to make baby sleepy but the amount they get through milk is small. If you were just taking it as an occasional or one off of say its fine but if you're taking it all the time I'd think twice.

The Breastfeeding network have a factsheet on antihistamines here . There is also a phone line if you want to discuss the specifics to your situation in more detail.

Thank you. I think as a short term measure I can take sedating antihistamines. I really just want to be able to get through boxing day at theirs.
