Breastfeeding after Morning After Pill

Hi all

I'm currently breastfeeding ds3 who is 4 months old and have just had to take Levonelle (morning after pill) due to a condom failure (again, last time resulted in ds3 and we are now pleased he's here and love him to bits, however, no way do we want anymore!!).

The leaflet says it's ok to breastfeed but if you are worried then you can drain milk for 6 hours after. If I do this then I need to go and get some formula for him which I really don't want to do :( but of course would if there was a risk from me having this pill.

Anyone been in this situation before? If it said you can't feed then I'd simply get formula and deal with it but as it says it's should be ok to but they say 'if you are worried' it's making me unsure whether to carry on feeding or not. I had asked GP who prescribed this and they'd said was ok to feed, it's just I've now read the leaflet.

WWYD?

If the GP and the leaflet both say its fine, I'd just feed your baby Smile

I had to take it and I just gave DD a good feed immediately before I took the pill. It's only a one-off.

Thanks, I had to feed him before I had any response on here so I decided to risk it due to the Dr saying it was ok and the leaflet saying it should be. I did pop on the breastfeeding network page in the end which gave me the confidence to go for it :)
