I want to take Ibuprofen as an anti-inflammatory but am still feeding dd (18ms)

it's only two feeds a day usually. first thing and last thing, and a lot of it I think it just for comfort/ routine - I don't think she's getting much milk

I do remember in the early months being told that I should only take paracetemol but I wondered if anyone knew the reasons for this and if a bit of ibuprofen would hurt at this stage

I've never been a purist - I have had alcohol and caffeine throughout - so if anyone has any information for me to weigh before making a decision that would be fab

I was told more than once that it's ok to take when bf, and is recommended for mastitis. I have taken it a few times since ds was about 6 weeks old, with no ill effects.

Will try and find link later if no one else gives you more definite ansews...

I was given ibuprofen in hospital after delivering dd and I was breastfeeding. How that helps!

I was told it's fine whilst bf-ing too.
