Am I going nuts?

Currently involved in a discussion on fb, someone has asked about a 3 week old baby who is taking 4oz expressed bm every 4 hours and not seeming settled between feeds.
Isn't 4 hours an awfully long time for a 3 week old on bm? Or is it just me? Loads of people suggesting colic and wind cures, but only me saying try feeding more often.... Am I going nuts?

Well if it's four hrs because it's asleep inbetween then it's just it's pattern.

If she's staring at it cry for 3hrs and trying colic relief for an hour maybe more feeds required....

Could you suggest that she asks on here for advice or give her the NHS bfing support info or the kellymom info bfing your newborn?

4 hours is a l...o....n....g time for a 3 week old baby. Easiest thing is to feed the baby.....why would this not be the most obvious reaction? And yes, to suggesting she gets some decent help and good information :)

I can't remember when DD started going longer than 3 hours between feeds during the day but I know it was a lot older than that! Probably around 6 mths so no, you're definitely not going nuts.
