Infant Gaviscon stopped working?

At 4 weeks old my DS was put on infant gaviscon due to silent reflux.

Now at 7 weeks his symptoms are starting to return and he's crying a lot again.
I'm taking him to the doctors at 5 to hopefully get him sorted but I'm worried about him being put on even harsher medicine or something?

Has anyone else had a baby who's symptoms have returned?

Is it definitely the reflux that's returned? At that age they start to get wind. With the gaviscon in my son really struggled to get his wind up.

Either way I hope you get it sorted for you and your poor son x

Sorry just read properly. How did you get on at the docs?

Hullo! Slightly unrelated but thought I'd share as my baby is now four months.

Go off wheat and dairy if you're breast feeding. It worked miracles with her pain (took about a week to kick in, mind). Now all we've got is mad amounts of projectile vomit.....which is much easier to deal with.

Sorry. Yes you an see there is a trend with reflux mums: too tired to read properly.
Symptoms have come and gone throughout I'm afraid. The wheat and dairy thing prevented us going on harsher medicines. It has not got rid of the mad vomit and, yeah, we have still had a few really rough nights when she's been writhing in pain and we have had to hold her upright all night.
