Hello,

I'm expecting my first baby and unfortunately I will not be able to breastfeed. I want to make sure I choose the best bottle for my baby but I'm not sure what to look for. I would appreciate some advice. Thanks!

That's a hard one as every baby is different.
I made the mistake of buying lots of tommee tippee bottles but it turned out my LO would have reflux and suffer a lot with wind.
I planned on mixed feeding but it didn't work out. The hospital I was in used nuk teats and my LO loved them.
We spent about £80 on different bottles and settled on doctor browns due to the reflux. They are expensive but worth it.
If the hospital give nuk teats I would suggest buying a two pack of nuk to see how you get on.

Thank you very much! What is the difference between latex and silicone teats? Which one is better? How about the flow size?

Start with the lowest level teat at first. I think the latex are softer and this what the hospital used.

I have found mothercare innosense to be really good, and he doesn't seem to get much wind either. They are fairly cheap and often on offer so it's worth a try.

We moved from breast to bottle with lo not even batting an eyelid! We chose mam anti-colic bottles which have shaped silicone teats.

What about microwave steam sterilisers? Do you have to buy the same brand as the bottle or are they more interchangable? I found a NUK steriliser but it's a lot more expensive than other sterilisers.
