Expressed milk - urgent!

I've expressed milk for 2 days and stored it in special zipped bags (Lansinoh) in a tray kept the fridge.

3 hours ago I added a fresh bag to the tray and accidentally left the whole tray out in the kitchen work top. Is it spoiled or can I put it in the fridge and use it in the morning?

I had heard when it is expressed it can be kept at room temperature for 12 hours and I've always refrigerated it immediately.

Help someone!!!!

I reckon it will probably be fine to use in the morning. Spoilt breastmilk smells sour like spoilt cows milk. How old is your baby?

Given he's not brand new/premature I would def shove back in the fridge and just smell the milk in the morning, you will be able to tell if it's off.

Breastmilk has anti-microbial properties so less likely to go off than formula for example.

I would, 3 hours on a worktop fine. On a radiator, no, but on the worktop definitely ok imo.
