Yesterday I went to the Trafford centre with my 6month old son. I asked an Intu lady where I could breastfeed as I couldn't find anywhere to sit & was told I couldn't in public (I hadn't slept & lo was screaming so didn't argue & there was nowhere in public to sit anyway) and she told me to go in the breastfeeding room off the toilets near the restaurants.
Well, it's was repulsivly filthy & it really upset me to feed him there but he was screaming to be fed. I couldn't find anyone after to complain about it (since it's changed to Intu the uniforms are black not red so hard to spot people) but I've sent them an email this morning.
I know it's not their fault if people leave it a mess but it was obvious it hadn't been checked/cleaned at all for a while & I doubt the chair had ever.
I hadn't been since lo was born but I remember the toilets always being clean for such a large place - has anyone else used the bf room there and is this how usually is? I won't be going again whilst lo is still bf'ing because it was revolting.
Really this is just to find out whether I should have been surprised/it's a known thing & to advise people to avoid it if they didn't know.
I'm waiting on a reply from the Trafford centre.
