Bottle refuser!

DS2 is 9 weeks. He is breastfed and Ever since he was a couple of days old myself or DS wpuld give him a couple of oz of expressed milk in the evening to allow me a bit of time for a shower or a snooze or whatever after we had got DS1 to bed and had our dinner. I was just using the TT closer to nature bottles, same as we used with DS1 when he was a baby and until 2 weeks ago all was gping fine and if I wanted to nip out for an hour or two in the evening the odd time child free i could do it no probs. And then... DS2 got to 7 weeks and now he absolutely will not take the bottle, no matter how hungry/not hungry he is, no matter who is trying to feed it to him, no matter what time of day.

I'm sure it's probably just a phase and I'm happy breastfeeding but I'd like to be able to leave DS2 with DH or with my mum occasionally and if he wont take a bottle that makes things tough...

Is it time to buy a fancier bottle? Everywhere online there are diff people claiming Dr Browns / MAM / Nuk / Dr Browns are the best thing since sliced bread but is it true? I dont want to shell out a lot of cash if DS2 is just going to spit a fancier, more expensive bottle out at me Grin

If anyone did find any of these bottles worthwhile, which ones??

Or any other tips to try and get DS2 past his bottle refusing phase?

Thank you!! Flowers

I've just been through a month of this, and for us, it was definitely the bottle that was at fault (of course!). Anyway after trying almost every bottle on the market she eventually took to the Playtex nurser with drop ins. I wouldn't say she took it perfectly but she would at least finish a feed.

Anyway yesterday she decided against it again, but did take the Mam one - she had shown promise with this one but hadn't actually drank from it in our trials!) so I'm going to stick with this one to keep trying with as I really like it (weirdly I didn't from pics online but it is quite clever and really well made). So there's two for you to try! She didn't like dr browns at all.
