Breastfeeding - oversupply???

I have a 3wk old dd who has green poo and lots of wind! She gulps and has lots of burps while feeding, and I get deep breast pain after feeds. I feed her on one side per feed and she rarely drains the breast.

I had oversupply issues with dd1 and a few months down the line worked out I had to block feed.

My question is, is it too soon to start block feeding? Or is it likely to just settle down on its own if I give it time as its still early days?

It could indeed be over-supply.....but prob a good idea to check the whole situation with a breastfeeding counsellor, and get your options sorted. I don't know what the deep breast pain could be, for example.

You are right - it is early days, things could settle down by themselves, and you are already doing 'block feeding lite' by only using one breast at a time, so it might be better to wait a while.
