Painful breast feeding...Help!!

Posting on behalf of my friend who is sat next to me feeding her almost 3 week old baby dd. her baby is feeding brilliantly, gaining tons of weight etc, so no issues there. But, her right nipple is very very sore when baby feeds. She has a blister near where the milk comes out, but the whole nipple feels hard like it's being pinched. Baby is getting milk, and latch appears fine, but she plays with the nipple, or rather moves it while she feeds. She feeds less on that side than the other, 5-10 mins before coming off, even though there is still milk there.

Any advice on what is happening, what she can do to help baby feed without playing? And to ease the pain. She has had to take baby off for a break as it hurts so much, but milk is still coming out.

I am posting for her as she is pre-occupied!

Hi. Saw that no-one had answered, so thought I'd let you know that your post is visible, and hopefully someone with more relevant experience will see it soon. Sorry I don't know if I can help much, this is different to the problems I had feeding.

Maybe, until someone comes along with any better advice, try reading this and see if it seems to match:
