Is there a best time of day to begin expressing!? Bit confused as to when to do it n if there will be enough milk left for baby if he wanted a feed!? Thanks

Personally I did it directly after the morning feed, then after each feed. Baby gets enough, & you can maximize your supply as well. My DD dropped her night feed completely at 4 months so I used to get up at night to express if I felt uncomfortably full.

Funny you should ask, I'm just expressing now... Mainly as DS hadn't fed for about 4 hours this afternoon, unusual for him, so I woke him up to feed and he only wanted one side, so i thought I'd express the other.

With DD I used to express either during her approx 9am feed (feed one side, express the other) or express one side after her feed (she only took one side per feed) or before the feed.

I don't think it'll matter too much what you do though tbh, although most people find they have more milk 'to spare' in the mornings.
