Coughing / choking when bottle feeding

Hi, wondering if anyone else is having same problem. 18 week son is gagging/ choking on his bottle. He was combo fed from birth then full time bottle from 13 weeks. He has always taken the bottle (tomee tippee closer to nature) no bother. He has been on the stage 2 teats for 5 weeks and no issue with them either. The past 5 days he has been coughing and choking on his bottle. I tried him back on the stage 1 teats yesterday but the same thing happened. He had a cold last week but doesn't have symptoms anymore. He seems well now- no temp, no sniffles and smiling away. Took him to HV yesterday who watched him feed and she suggested Dr had a look. Dr reckoned that he was still getting over the virus which is causing the choking. However I am concerned that these two issues are unrelated and it is just a coincidence it has happened after the cold. He does seem to be teething just now so maybe it is all the extra drool causing him to choke? Has anyone else experienced this with their baby and if so, what did you find it was? And did you find /do anything that helped?
