Is there any reason why a baby shouldn't stay on the stage 1 milk? I've just swapped and he won't drink the new stuff. Same brand.

No, stage 1 is fine to 12 months. Everything else is marketing!

Yep agree, stage 1 is the only milk the NHS recommend and there is some evidence that the added iron in the follow on milks can be more detrimental than beneficial.

Yes to all this - as it's illegal to promote first milk the 'follow on' stuff is mainly there so companies can advertise their brand.

Yep it was only invented to get around the advertising ban. I notice they use tiny young looking babies in the ads to try and mislead.
