Large wobble - need reassurance!

Hi hoping someone (tiktok!) can just reassure me a little....
My little girl is 14 weeks old and EBF. It's been a breeze from day one, aside from an episode or two of mild blocked ducts. I've also had a very fast let down and over supply.
A couple of weeks ago she started sleeping through the night - from about 8-5or6 happy mummy! Of course this brought with it boobs akin to Katie Price, very sore and full by morning as I couldn't be arsed to get up in the night to express properly. ( I would just relieve myself a little over the sink!)
Prior to this she fed usually just once in the night anyway.
She's been quite slow to gain weight and has dropped from 50th to 25th centile as of 6 weeks old. She weighed 11.5lbs 2 weeks ago (weighed at local milk spot). The real problem is the last few days.... Yes she's had wet nappies but has gone to pooing once a day and that looks really watery, last night it looked greenish hued.... The most worrying thing are my boobs themselves - they have drastically reduced in size over the last few days! Almost my pre pregnancy bee stings 32b (I have been a 38d in preg and BF) they don't feel right or full, they feel empty! Little one has gone back to feeding once a night for the last few nights and seems to be feeding more in the day. She has always been a quick feeder 15 mins max, usually 7-10mins but has become really fussy, jumpy and hitting my boobs after just 2 or 3 mins sometimes.....?
Is my BF over?!! I've just got a nagging thing that something isn't right, I've read kellymom et al but just don't feel reassured and the next milk spot isn't until next tues.
Opinions and advice really welcome.

Sorry for the jackanory!

bumping for you
once boobs get used to it though, they do feel very normal - mine did, and theyre still efficiently making milk

how are you at expressing? I could never do it
babies are very changeable due to growth spurts et al, I'm sure you're fine..
see if someone comes along who knows more

GinGinGin · 16/10/2013 21:32

How many hours between feeds OP?

GinGinGin · 16/10/2013 21:35

Sorry that was a bit abrupt! The thing I've picked up from your op is the greenish poo - that could potentially be something to think about. The boob size is just your boobs settling down after engorgement, but it would be helpful to know how often your dd feeds in a 24 hr period

Bumping until tiktok arrives!

For what it's worth, the boobs thing sounds normal IME. From around 12 weeks milk production kind of settles down and no more boob-boulders!

Feeding frequency and duration can change quite a lot too depending on growth spurts etc.

I find DD beats up my boobs when she's a bit windy - could it be that?

As long as there are wet nappies I wouldn't worry about only one poo a day at this age. Once breastfed babies are past the new born stage I think it's normal to go as much as a few days between poos (no such luck with my DD unfortunately!)

If her weight has dropped it's worth getting her weighed, but I don't think they'll do it more than once a week. If she settles out at the 25th now then that's probably just her natural level, even if she started a bit higher.

Not sure about the green poo, both of mine has this from time to time, didn't seem to bother them, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.

Try not to worry, sounds like you're doing a great job!

Once she starts fussing, you could try her on the other breast and then put her back again.
Soft breasts are normal at this stage as is one poo a day.
That is a long gap at night though and night feeds are important for milk supply. That said, if things have dipped a bit you can get it back by lots of feeding from both breasts and feeding in the night ( which you said she had started doing again).
HTH

I was feeding every 3-4 hours, I follow her cues and don't really follow a routine. The last few days because of my paranoia I'm offering boob practically all the time! Well every couple of hours at least, and she takes it mostly too. Even first thing inthe morning my boobs feel empty.
She's very happy in herself, alert and lively.
I feel like I'm worrying over nothing now....

Looks like I maybe am worrying about nothing! There's no pleasing me! A couple of weeks ago I was lamenting sleeping on my front and waking up soaking in breast milk!
Thanks for the reassurance, I'll def get her weighed next week too.
