post second tt snip what's going on?

My ds 9wo had a second tt snip due to regrowth and I didn't think it had made much difference. However this last week I noticed more milk spurting if I hand expressed and more when I pump. My previous pumps were a few mils now I get an ounce in 20 mins. I also noticed my nipples are longer when he comes off. He is taking less formala at his top ups.

The thing is I have been supplementing since day 3 and although this has now reduced to 2-3 ounces after a feed on average there are still times he will take 4 or 5.

Is it possible that the changes I have seen mean that I can wean off the formula? I just don't know how to tell I am now making enough. He is on the 25th percentile and recently dipped just under even with all the formula. I don't want to jeopardise his weight gain. Help!

I am not remotely an expert. And expressing is not an indicator of supply. But still to me it sounds encouraging that you are getting more milk at a stage when many women find they start to get less? Do you have local breastfeeding support that you trust (perhaps whoever helped you with getting the TT diagnosed?) or could you speak to someone on one of the telephone support lines about whether you could slowly reduce the top ups, and how you would monitor that your DS was still getting sufficient?
