Please help!

My dd is 6.5mths and ebf I'm back at work in 1 week, she point blank refuses bottle.
I don't know what I'm going to do! She was eating quite well blw but she's now got an extremely bad cold won't eat a thing just bf, I've been in tears, how can I go back to work when she won't take a bottle or eat? Won't even have water ??
I've got 1 week to drop 3feeds I can't feed while I'm working, not sure what to tell childminder,, 1week! And she's still ill, so won't be eating anytime soon, feeling so stressed and anxious.
Tried, warm, cold, medela calma teats, normal teats, me feeding her, dp feeding her while I sit upstairs listening to her screaming.
I just do not know what to do.

We had that problem before starting nursery. But my husband persevered and eventually she took a bottle. As the sucking motion is a bit different it just took her awhile to figure out how it works.

What type of bottles are you using?

Using the medela bottles, with medium flow teat, also tried the calma bf teat

A standardsippy cup at that age. Ds used a cheap Tommy tippee one and gulped his milk down from it. She should be off bottles by 12 months anyway.

Well you still bf morning and evening?

Yeah I would try a cup as well, or have a shot at nuby bottles from boots, if you are in the uk.

My Ds switched from boob to bottle with Avent natural bottles, and the nuby ones with med or number 3 teats for another shot.
Will she just not shut her mouth round it?

She won't open her mouth then when it goes in she won't close her mouth she just completely goes bananas, rigid, screaming.
I've tried doing it just before she's starving and tried when she's almost missed a feed so should be really hungry both of which had the same result!

To answer questions, I will continue to feed morning and night, I gave her a sipping cup (tommee tipee) when I started blw but she's completely gone off that too.

Hate to say this, my mum said I did exactly the same thing as a baby but she was luckily a sahm so just gave up. I'm sure someone will be along with more helpful advice. Can she have more watery type foods like some fruits,melon? And keep trying with the sippy cup, or get a few different ones to try.

Try to stay calm: if she hasn't dropped the feeds one by one you might have to express at work somehow (even if you hand-express and dump in the loos, although I found that depressing) but as long as she will take liquid somehow you will manage.

You don't mention whether anyone else has tried. I left DS with DH and a cup for a few hours and DS took the warmed cup from DH. He has still not ever taken a cup of milk from me at 18 months, we just bf during the day at the weekend etc. If you're there then there is a better option for getting the milk that she can see. Does she have any more settling-in sessions at the childminders?

Things that DH tried that have worked at different times: guiding the cup whilst cuddling DS, putting DS in the high chair and holding/giving the cup, putting the cup next to where DS is sat on the floor and letting him work it out for himself.

Some people may disagree with this as well, but when I was trying to get DS to take the cup I would give him a dry ricecake/breadstick to eat in his highchair and then only offer the cup of water as liquid. Not when he was frustrated or for a long time, but not taking him in and out of the highchair for milk.
