Day 5 bf question

My little boy was born by EMCS on Wednesday night. Started feeding within an hour of birth so all good. Now we are home and I seem to be making too much milk or he's not eating enough.

After a feed my boobs are softer but within an hour they are solid again. I am getting wet and dirty nappies, not soaking but not strong pee either.

Feeding 3 hourly with big cluster feeds mid afternoon. Will the full aching boobs ease soon?

Check with the midwife.

Sounds like you are experiencing the temporary overfullness that comes with the milk 'coming in' and which usually sorts itself out in a day or so.

Sounds like you are doing well. I think engorgement is usual for the first week. Have you seen this page about what's normal for the first few weeks? I wouldn't hesitate to call your MW or a breastfeeding helpline if you are at all worried.
