do 9 month olds still cluster feed?

The last couple of nights my 9mo ds has been wanting to feed for hours in the middle of the night. Previously he was sleeping 6-7ish with one quick feed which was more like a little comfort suck I don't think he ever got much milk at that feed.

Ds has never been one to feed for more than 10-15 mins even as a new born he was very efficient. I have never experienced cluster feeding I am wondering if that is what he is doing now?

He eats. Solids well in the day and have quick feeds ( then gets distracted and goes and plays)

I have tried giving him a dummy but he lost interest in dummies about 3 months ago and he just takes it out and throws it away now.

We co-sleep and dp works nights so I can't really leave him in bed awake ( he just helps himself by lifting my top up) and I cant ask dp to settle him because he's at work.

Any mumsnet wisdom?
